Come to Our Annual Kitten Shower

HCAL will be hosting Kitten Showers at our May 10 and May 16 general meetings. Come join us for refreshments, games and raffles and consider bringing a gift for the little ones! Kitten food, kitten formula, litter/litter pans, beds, toys or a monetary gift will be greatly appreciated by our new arrivals.

HCAL in the News

The Jersey Journal recently did a story on HCAL's visit to the Park Prep Academy preschool in Jersey City. The children presented homemade pet treats to Harry, one of our rescues, and Kathleen, one of our board members. Harry was a big hit and taught the kids about animal rescue. Harry is now in a home of his own.

Shih Tzu Brothers Need a Home!

My name is Comfort and this is my brother, Lover. We desperately need a home because our elderly owner can't afford to take care of us anymore. We also need a special home. I am going blind because of cataracts and I need my brother to help me find my way around.

We're purebred Shih Tzu, born in 2005. We both love humans. We're always happy to meet and greet new people--and we love kids. We'll sit in your lap, we'll ride quietly in the car, just happy to snuggle up next to you on the seat. We don't bark very much and are neutered and up to date on shots.

But we also depend on each other for companionship and love, and we can't bear being separated. And now that my eyesight is getting very bad, I need Lover more than ever. Won't you bring us into your family? We're good little dogs who just want to give someone lots of love and cuddles.
